Just 4 miles north of Gualala is the tiny community of Anchor Bay. This cute hamlet has a market, laundry mat, 2 restaurants and several small businesses. |

Anchor Bay Campgrounds was a road camp in the 1930's and has camping sites available year round. The beach at Anchor Bay is one of the nicest sandy beaches in the area and offers excellent diving - access for a small fee. |

Behind the town is a small subdivision of beach homes, some with full-time residents and others used as vacation rental homes. There are several lodging facilities along Highway One that enjoy the use of Anchor Bay Beach. The community of "Enchanted Meadows" lies just up the hill above Anchor Bay Beach and as the name suggests has homes on 1 acre redwood meadow sites. |
